Welcome to Vif. These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Vif ("Vif", "we", "us") governing your use of the Vif mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility — 18+
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Vif. By using the Service you represent that you are 18 or older, that you have not been convicted of a sexual offense, and that you are legally permitted to use the Service where you live. We may terminate any account we reasonably believe belongs to a person under 18.
2. Your account
You agree to provide accurate information (including your date of birth), to keep your login credentials secure, and to use the Service only for yourself. You may not create an account for anyone else, impersonate another person, or maintain multiple accounts for abusive purposes. You are responsible for all activity on your account.
3. Community rules and prohibited conduct
Vif has a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to:
- post content that is sexually explicit, pornographic, violent, hateful, harassing, defamatory, or discriminatory;
- harass, stalk, intimidate, bully, or threaten any user, or share another person's private information;
- solicit money, promote commercial services, spam, or scam other users;
- post content depicting minors, or interact with the Service if you are a minor;
- use another person's photos or misrepresent your identity;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or attempt to probe, scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts at our sole discretion, without notice, for violating these rules. Users can report and block other users directly in the app; reports are reviewed and acted upon.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the photos, videos, audio, and text you post ("Content"). By posting Content you grant Vif a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that Content solely for operating and improving the Service. You represent that you have all rights to the Content you post and that it does not violate these Terms or any law. We may review, moderate, or remove Content at any time.
5. Safety — no background checks
Vif does not conduct criminal background checks or identity verification of all users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. Exercise caution when communicating with or meeting anyone, especially in person. Never send money to other users. Review safety guidance before meeting anyone offline.
6. Subscriptions and purchases
Vif offers a paid subscription, Vif Pro (billed weekly or monthly), and one-time purchases such as Boosts and Super Likes. All purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID; we do not receive or store your payment card details.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period (weekly or monthly, as selected) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing: manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds: purchases are handled by Apple; refund requests are made through Apple, subject to Apple's terms.
- Virtual items: Boosts, Super Likes, and similar items have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are forfeited if your account is terminated for violating these Terms.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Your account → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including 4, 8, 9, 10 and 12) survive.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that you will find a match, that user information is accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vif and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for the conduct of any user, whether online or offline. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.
10. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vif and its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, losses, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your Content, your use of the Service, your conduct toward other users, or your breach of these Terms.
11. Third-party services and links
Profiles may contain links to third-party services (for example, social media handles that users add). Vif does not control and is not responsible for third-party services, their content, or their privacy practices. Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of the State of Kuwait, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email; continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at this page.
General. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, are the entire agreement between you and Vif. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger or sale. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
