Vif is a space for bold, real connections between adults. These guidelines exist to keep it safe and worth your time. They apply to everything you do on Vif — your profile, photos, prompts, messages, and behavior toward other members. We enforce a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users: violations can result in content removal or a permanent ban without warning.
Be yourself — really
- Use your own recent photos. No other people's pictures, no AI-generated faces, no heavy deception.
- One account per person, and only for yourself. No impersonation of any person or brand.
- You must be 18 or older. Accounts of minors are removed immediately and reported where required.
Keep it respectful
- No harassment, threats, bullying, hate speech, or discrimination of any kind — including based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or appearance.
- No sexually explicit or pornographic content. Not in photos, prompts, or messages — a match is not consent to explicit content.
- No graphic violence, gore, or content that promotes self-harm.
- If someone unmatches or stops responding, let it go. Do not attempt to contact them another way.
No scams, no selling
- Never ask other members for money, financial information, or gifts — this is an instant permanent ban.
- No promotion, advertising, recruiting, or link-farming. Vif is for connections, not commerce.
- No spam, bots, or automated behavior.
Protect privacy — yours and theirs
- Don't share anyone's private information (phone numbers, addresses, photos) without their consent.
- Don't screenshot and publish other members' profiles or conversations.
Report it — we act on it
Every profile has Report and Block actions. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and we remove content and ban accounts that break these rules. Blocking someone immediately prevents them from seeing or contacting you. If you believe someone is in danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Meet safely
- Get to know people in the app before moving elsewhere. Video-chat before meeting if you can.
- Meet in public places, tell a friend where you're going, and arrange your own transport.
- Never send money to someone you haven't met — no matter the story.
The short version: be real, be kind, be safe. If you wouldn't do it in front of someone you respect, don't do it on vif.
